🎋Tanabata Festival

🎋Tanabata Festival

Have you ever heard the “Tanabata Festival”?

It is one of the Japanese traditional events that many people in Japan have experienced at least once in a lifetime.

“Tanabata” is based on the story that only once a year, Hikoboshi (Cow herder) and Orihime (Weaving Princess), two lovers, would be allowed to meet each other at the shores of the heavenly river. That story turns into Tanabata events nowadays, celebrating it and writing a wish on papers to make dreams come true. That date is July 7th.

We would like to share that Tanabata experiences with our Cafe customers so we set the “Tanabata Festival week” from June 25th to July 13th.

Events we have during “Tanabata Festival” week are below;

🎋Make a wish by writing Tanzaku – June 29th
Tanzaku is a paper that you can write down your wish and hang it on bamboo trees. We will have Tanzaku papers and Bamboo trees in ENGLISH ONLY CAFE during Tanabata week so feel free to write one for yourself. We would love to teach you how to do it.

🎋”Free Drink” for Yukata visitors – July 6th (Sat), July 7th (Sun)
If you wear Yukata and join Language Exchange, you can get any drink for free. But please remember that you can get drink free only once in a day. **That means even if you come to both 2 sessions on July 6th in Yukata, we would give you free drink once only.
